Rooted in Tradition, Planting Seeds of Healing, Harvesting Nature’s Remedies
Rab’s Roots blossomed in 2023, after six years of study and hands-on herbalism to support my own healing journey. I’m a Black and Indigenous herbalist and birthworker, reconnecting with ancestral plant medicine to help create a sustainable wealth of wellness for Black children and families. Through Rab’s Roots, I’m honored to offer plant-based remedies and share what I’ve learned to support our community’s journey to health.
A Community Farmstead for Local Herbal Medicine and Knowledge
In response to the limited access to locally grown medicinal herbs in the Hampton Roads area, I am cultivating an herbal farmstead where traditional healing herbs can flourish. This farmstead is not just a place to grow—it’s a community space, hosting workshops in planting and medicine-making. When clients visit for in-person consultations, they’ll find a homely environment, often sitting comfortably on the porch when weather allows. Here, healing is a grounded, welcoming experience that embraces our roots and grows toward wellness.
Moon Cycle Teas for Women’s Health
Our Moon Cycle Teas are crafted to support reproductive health, from early girlhood through menopause. Each blend is rooted in the phases of the moon and features adaptogens to harmonize with your body’s natural rhythms. These blends honor the cyclical nature of women’s bodies, offering nurturing support that’s both gentle and powerful.
