Growing up I would see all the cool styles the Muslimas in NYC would wear. I was also always inspired by the men who wore shemaghs and turban styles. I wasn't allowed to wear them in such stylish ways while spending time with my very traditional Abi (father), nor did I want to. But as I got older and found more reasons to cover my head like to keep peace, to let my twist set some more for a bomb twist out, to cover my hair when that twist out wasn't bomb, so I turned back to those stylish pieces. 

I wear my wraps as my crown, and in doing so I want for my hair to be protected from the harsh elements as well as the drying properties of most fabrics. I started making satin lined headwraps so that you wear your crown high or low in a turban and keep your locs moisturized.
